Continence Awareness Week 2018

Don’t hold on any longer – starting the continence conversation.

Despite the fact one in four New Zealanders are impacted by incontinence, it’s something we’re simply not talking about.

Continence NZ wants to turn that around and for our 2018 Continence Awareness Week, which starts on 18 June, we are encouraging Kiwis to start having important conversations about their bladder and bowel health.

You can view the full media release here.

Jenny-May Clarkson and her buddy Kaz have helped kick things off, sitting down with Continence NZ’s Educator Janet Thackray for a relaxed chat, to share their experiences and find out what’s normal, and when you should be asking for help.

You can watch the full video of their chat here.

We also have some helpful resources, so that you can check to see if you have an issue, what's 'normal', and have some tips to help. Visit the resources page here.

While you are here, complete our online survey and go in the draw to win 5 pairs of washable underwear from the team at Health7.co.nz!  Please visit the survey page here.
